Curator Feedback: How to Use Reviews to Improve Your Productions

Jake Rivas · · 5 min read

Read every review, then throw out the adjectives and keep the specifics. 'Didn't connect with it' is taste. 'The kick and bass are fighting below 100 Hz in the drop' is signal.

Look for repetition across reviewers. One curator flagging a 32-bar intro is an opinion; six flagging it is an arrangement problem.

Fix one thing at a time and run another campaign. The comparison between two campaigns is more informative than either campaign alone.
